it can be hard to figure out how to get that pesky Sharpie off the bottom of your shoes. Let us show you how to remove Sharpie from shoe soles and salvage your favorite shoes!

Step One: Gently scrape away any excess permanent marker with a butter knife or other dull utensil. This will loosen up the messy bits and keep them from getting ground into your leather.

Step Two: Go over the area with toothpaste and a clean rag. The acids in the toothpaste will dissolve the Sharpie without damaging your leather. Just make sure you don't get any on your actual shoe!

After about 10 minutes of scrubbing, wipe it off with a damp sponge and repeat if necessary. When you're satisfied with how clean it is, you can stop and just let it dry.

Or, continue to step three for a deeper clean. Step Three: Apply rubbing alcohol to a clean cloth and wipe down the area until no more ink comes off on the rag.

Thank you!! I have used turpentine on a sharpie stain and it works. The only problem is that it takes a lot of elbow grease to get all of the stain out! I will definately pass the info along.
